Behind the Seams: March in Motion

As we work our way through March, we’re reminded that growth is not something we do alone but is something we build together. Each day, through shared effort and commitment, we continue to create opportunities, strengthen community, and move forward with purpose.

This month, that growth was reflected in a powerful way—through a milestone that reminds us exactly why this work matters.

A Step Forward for Nadia

This month, we are proud to celebrate Nadia, one of the artisans here at RAI, who secured a new job opportunity as a Teacher Aide. This moment represents a step forward in Nadia's pathway and also reflects her dedication, resilience, and the courage to take the next step forward.

Behind every milestone like this is a journey of preparation, trust, and support. A special thank you to Tessa Hall, our Economic Mobility Manager, who worked closely with Nadia throughout the process—offering guidance, encouragement, and resources every step of the way.

This is what economic mobility looks like in action: when opportunity meets support, and individuals are empowered to build sustainable futures for themselves and their families.

We're Home

This month also marked a major milestone for our organization as we moved back into our newly renovated space. More than just a physical return, this space represents a new chapter of growth, possibility, and the future we are building every day.

It is a place where stories like Nadia’s begin—where skills are developed, confidence is strengthened, and community continues to take root.

Celebrating Nowruz

RAI attended a beautiful Nowruz celebration at the WA State Capitol in Olympia as guests of State Representative Darya Farivar.

Nowruz celebrates the Persian New Year and the beginning of spring—a time of rejuvenation, gathering, and honoring traditions. It was wonderful to share in the celebration of the triumph of light over darkness and renewal.

Voices of RAI: Isabella

Isabella is our Production Manager, playing a vital role in day-to-day operations and the training of artisans. Originally from Taiwan and trained in apparel design, she brings both technical expertise and deep care into her work—supporting artisans as they build confidence, develop new skills, and take pride in what they create.

In Isabella's conversation, she shares what it’s like to see artisans develop new skills, earn their own income, and discover new confidence along the way.

Make an Impact Today

As we reflect on this month, Nadia’s milestone stands as a reminder of what’s possible when community, opportunity, and support come together.

Thank you for continuing to stand with us and invest in this work. Because of you, stories like this are not just possible—they are happening.

We look ahead with gratitude and excitement for all that is still to come.

More soon,
