Refugee Artisan Initiative Announces Grand Opening:
Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, Open House, Reception & Fundraiser
June 16, 2022 | Seattle, Washington
RAI recently lost its temporary maker space due to a flood in January and have worked in partnership with the City, State, and County to secure a 7,500 square foot space as its new home. “We finally have our permanent home to welcome and train more refugee and immigrant women, and a place to do more to enrich their new lives in America,” says Founder and Executive Director, Ming-Ming Tung-Edelman.
The Grand Opening is a warm welcome home for RAI Artisans, who left Afghanistan, Burma, Ethiopia, Vietnam, Bhutan, Morocco and China to start a new life. In their new space, RAI will continue to invest in refugee and immigrant women, helping to break down barriers and creating community impact.
